Jared Lee
Age: 39
Occupation: Rancher
Hometown: Picayune, Mississippi
Competed: Season 1
After having to withdraw from the competition his first go-round due to an inopportune encounter with a bull that resulted in a broken leg, Jared Lee is fully recovered and ready to bring it on in All-Stars!
Fifth-generation Florida cowboy, Jared Lee, thinks the toughest cowboys come from the alligator-filled plains of the South. He grew up on a farm, and at age 18, he struck out on his own to prove to his father he was as skilled as the best hands in the country. As hard-working as they come, he settled in Mississippi.
Jared has had a few changes in his life since we last saw him. He and his wife welcomed another child and he’s now the father of six. Also, he’s the sole, full-time provider for his brother who has cerebral palsy. Naturally, his priority is his family.
His business is still going strong as he continues to operate LEE HDC Ranching with a focus on training cattle dogs, ranch horses, and running cattle. In fact, after he broke his leg, and couldn’t ride for months, training cattle dogs allowed him to work and provide for his family during his recovery. When not working, you can often find Jared helping neighbors catch cattle in the rugged Mississippi countryside.
One thing that hasn’t changed: Jared isn’t afraid to fight for what he thinks is right.
