Gil Favor’s drive must stop when Mrs. Farragut refuses to let the herd through her land. However, she has one condition, hire her arrogant grandson Billy to teach him discipline. Billy soon causes issues for the drovers.

After bandits killed their driver, Wells Fargo assigns special agent Jim Hardie to ride shotgun on a stagecoach carrying a valuable cargo of gold. Joining Hardie is a new driver who thinks he can handle outlaws by himself.

A storekeeper and employee are killed by the Lime brothers. Matt Dillon shoots and kills one of them. To get revenge for his brother’s death, Joe grabs Matt’s gun, but Chester had cleaned it and forgot to put the bullets back in.

Marv Rowley and his wife Tassie stop for the night and camp with a trapper named Ben. Marv goes to town to tell Doc that Tassie is sick. Doc arrives and finds her beaten to death. When Matt Dillon arrives, her body is gone.

Jess is on his way back to Laramie when his horse is stolen by a 16-year-old Mexican boy named Juan. On foot, he trails the boy and the horse to Dry Springs where the boy is arrested. Jess becomes sympathetic when he learns the boy could hang.

Pearl Watkins interrupts Jim Hardie’s card game to let him know that her brother Ira is back and could be in trouble. Ira shoots at Hardie when he arrives at Pearl’s house. He later joins the Tobey Gang and robs a Wells Fargo Bank in Clarksville.

After his poker game ends in a gunfight, an old and infamous outlaw is trapped in a small Western town. When an iconic lawman-turned-boozer is hired by the townsfolk to arrest the outlaw, all are surprised by the battle of wits that follows.

Guest Star Victor French. Newly rescues uneducated hillbilly Merry Florene from her bullying brothers. In Dodge City, she betters herself by getting a job with Mr. Jonas in his store. But her brothers arrive and get her into trouble with the law.

A hired gunman and former law man comes to Medicine Bow. His job is to run a well-respected rancher off his land, but he starts to have second thoughts. When the rancher turns up dead, and the gunman is accused of the crime, Trampas tries to help the old law man find the real killer.

Special agent Jim Hardie brings an Army payroll to Fort Anderson which is under Apache attack. The only commander is green, cowardly Lieutenant Kimball, who the soldiers don’t respect or trust. Hardie helps the lieutenant keep the Indiana at bay.

Louie Pheeters, the town drunk, witnesses a man kill another man by drowning him. He thinks it is all a dream until he actually meets up with the guy who did the drowning.

Guest Star Burt Reynolds. Quint believes that a string of recent raids are the result of a white renegade group and not the Comanches. Working shotgun on a stage, Quint proves his point when they attack him.

The drovers have some free time off. Rowdy and Rabbit arrive in a ghost town and begin shooting at a bell. A bullet ricochets off and kills Jud Hilton. The dead man’s brother, William, a self-proclaimed prophet, predicts a curse and death on them.

Elwood P. Gilroy and his beautiful assistant, Crystal Simpson, steal the ownership papers for the herd. Gilroy sells the herd to the Confidence Creek Bank and leaves town without Simpson. Rowdy must find him.

Guest Star Peter Falk. Hale guides Gus Morgan, a tough railroad tycoon, and his younger brother Ethan through snowy mountains to find a passage. Major issues arise when Ethan accidentally shoots Hale, a blizzard arrives, and Ethan collapses.

Wells Fargo special agent Jim Hardie goes to Moose Creek, Canada to identify the body of Clete Miller, killed by miner Lon Ellwood. Ellwood wants the $5000 reward, but Hardie is suspicious, and a woman claims the body is that of her missing brother.

Guest Star George Kennedy. Gunfire erupts in the Long Branch Saloon and Miss Kitty is critically shot by Jake Bayloe in the crossfire. Matt Dillon catches Bayloe, but on the way back to Dodge City, someone keeps shooting at them.

Doc is missing from Dodge City and Chester goes out searching for him. While out on the hunt, Chester’s horse turns up lame. Chester goes to a small farm house for help, but is taken prisoner instead.

Cheyenne helps an old friend by helping her keep her saloon from crooked gamblers. The woman’s daughter who has been back east in school, will be arriving back in town soon, but she knows nothing about how her mother earned money for her education.

Young Billy Watkins is a troublemaking teen who has come to Laramie to live with his uncle. He soon joins a couple of drifters who rustle Sherman cattle. After he gets caught, Daisy tries to convince Jess to not press charges.

Guest Star Burt Reynolds. Quint is framed for the theft of a horse and is brutally beaten by a vigilante group. The atmosphere in Dodge becomes even uglier as Matt Dillon investigates the crime.

Wells Fargo sends special agent Jim Hardie to aid Wyoming Governor Carson, who is campaigning in Casper. Carson wants to expand railroads across the state. However, a notorious outlaw named Clancy is opposed to his idea and has other plans in mind.

Wells Fargo sends Jim Hardie to escort jeweler Vincent Dodd who is carrying $30,000 in gems from back East. During their journey, several robbery attempts are made. However, Hardie is unable to stop the last attempt, which happens under his watch.

Ex-Colonel Josiah Johnson is now the town drunk in Dodge City. Carl asks Josiah to watch his store while he leaves to get his bride-to-be, Anne Johnson. The store catches fire and Josiah decides to leave, knowing Anne is his estranged daughter.

Amy Slater comes to Dodge City on a mission – to die. Thinking she is sick, Matt Dillon suggests that she visit Doc. But, she wants Matt to kill her. Matt must find out more about her unusual request and how to handle it.

Guest Star Helen Kleeb. A series of hangings in Dodge City is cause for alarm among the townspeople. At first it looks like a string of suicides, but Matt Dillon believes that there is a murderer on the loose.

Special agent Jim Hardie visits parolee Bob Dawson. While there, someone tries to rob the Wells Fargo office with explosives. The thieves used a tunnel from the land office next door, a technique used years ago by Dawson.

Special agent Jim Hardie goes to Wagner, Montana after hearing Butch Cassidy’s Hole in the Wall Gang is going to attempt a robbery. Hardie runs into Laurie Hammer, who ran away from home with an outlaw. The Tall Texan and others go after Hardie.

Guest Stars James Whitmore and Julie Sommars. A temperance preacher wants to shut down Kitty’s saloon and put an end to all drinking in Dodge. Matt Dillon must also find out why a gunman is also stalking the preacher.

Guest Star James Drury. Flint, Hawks, and Wooster lead a group from the wagon train toward the Dakotas. When they run into a massive rainstorm, Samuel Bleymier warns the group that they should turn back and not cross Sioux burial grounds.

Guest Stars Ken Curtis and John Wayne. Major Adams finds drunken Doctor Colter Craven and his wife stranded. Later, when a woman passenger needs a C-section, Adams tells Craven a story about a friend, Ulysses S. Grant, who overcame his addiction.

After saving the life of an Indian brave, Victoria is captured by an Apache who believes she can save the life of the chief’s son. With the odds against her, Victoria must try to save the dying man or risk dying along with him.

Guest Star Jim Davis. Jubal Gray and his gang hijack a stash of rifles and gunpowder to sell. They encounter and brutally attack old buffalo hunter Noah Meek’s adopted Indian son, Tahrohon. Meek vows to make those that are responsible pay.

Carl Hendricks buys a local ranch in Medicine Bow. Trampas reaches out to the rancher’s daughter, inviting her to a dance, only to find out about a handicap that prevents her from enjoying such events. When Carl is killed, Trampas is the prime suspect even though he has no motive to commit the crime.

Special agent Jim Hardie arrives in the Dakota territory to investigate the death of a Wells Fargo driver. Everyone in town won’t discuss his death and others who are ill. Hardie gets a clue about the sickness there when he sees a cow being buried.

Guest Star Mariette Hartley. A dying father gives Matt Dillon a letter and money and asks him to find his daughter. Matt expects to find a small girl, but instead finds an older mountain girl that is in need of some civilizing.

Returning to camp, Quince and Mushy hear what they think is a Puma. Mushy wanders off and is attacked. Dan Carlock comes to the rescue and tells them that it is an African lion he is hunting. Later, Carlock convinces Mushy to help him hunt it.

While Rowdy and Wishbone buy supplies, Mushy enters a poker game and chooses seven-card stud, deuces wild. He wins $1500 and suddenly everyone wants a piece of his winnings. Back in camp, the drovers neglect their work, much to Favor’s dismay.

Guest Star Brian Keith. An arrogant British journalist named Robert Harrison Clarke joins the wagon train to see the real West. He thinks many stories are just exaggerations, but his beliefs change when he experiences dangerous Indian territory.

Stolen money from the Calico Bank leads special agent Jim Hardie to Sam Craig’s home, a man who recently passed. Craig’s sister Ellen and his son Jason are determined to prove his innocence. However, a Wells Fargo strong box is found in the attic.

After seeing her father murdered on the prairie, Harriet Horne walks all the way to Dodge City where she lies to Matt Dillon about what happened. She then gets a job at the Long Branch so she can get revenge on the men responsible.

A gunman shoots Chester on the streets of Dodge City. Matt Dillon thinks that it could be recent bank robbers, but it turns out that they didn’t shoot him. Kitty believes that a man named Hutch Dawkins may be guilty of the crime.

Cheyenne fulfills a dying war hero’s wish and helps his son enlist in the Army. Cheyenne arrives at Fort Sumner with Jed Wayne, but trouble soon arises from a demanding colonel and the Comanche Indians’ imminent uprising.

Matt Grundy comes to Laramie and fools everyone into thinking he’s there to deposit a bank draft, and that the posse after him is a gang after the money. Slim and Jess agree to escort him to town, putting both them and the bank in danger.

Special agent Jim Hardie captures Apache renegade Joe Black, wanted by Wells Fargo. However, when Black’s brother, Akana discovers that Joe has been captured, the Apaches retaliate and capture the daughter of a local agent, hoping to make a trade.

Wells Fargo tasks special agent Jim Hardie with tracking Kid Curry after he commits a string of robberies. including the office in Blue Cross, Wyoming. Hardie captures him near Knoxville, Tennessee, but he escapes jail and vows not to be taken alive.

Kitty and her traveling companions are kidnapped from a stagecoach and held for ransom. They are forced to hike over rough terrain and weather the elements. Matt Dillon and Festus must come to the rescue.

Flint finds a badly wounded, unconscious woman named Jane Hawkins on his way to buy some beef for the wagon train. He takes her to the doctor in a nearby town, but he finds out that she is wanted for the murder of a prominent man’s son.

When Randy Benton finds an escaped wild stallion that killed his original handler, he takes the injured horse to a trainer who is known more for his drinking than for his veterinarian skills. The chance for the new trainer to heal the stallion may not save one life, but two.

Jim Hardie escorts outlaw Zach Bradley to Tucson to stand trial for murder. Also on board is Spanish dancer Lola Montez and two other passengers. Apaches stop the stage, wanting Bradley, claiming he killed a squaw and her son.

Matt Dillon faces a difficult decision when he is pushed toward a showdown when Chance Hopper, an ex-convict, comes to town. Chance’s partners in crime are counting on him to divert Matt in order to make good on their getaway.

In night camp, the drovers hear an owl but recognize it is an Indian signal. They find a woman in Indian clothing that seems to be mentally ill. The next day, Cheyenne come to get her. Favor investigates and finds the truth at a ranch with ten trees.

Guest Star Suzanne Pleshette. Cooper Smith escorts Grace Marshall to visit her sister, Myra. The women were traumatized by an abusive father long ago. Myra suffers from addiction, and now Grace thinks her husband Vern is to blame for her issues.

A new Wells Fargo branch is needed due to a recent gold strike. Although a branch manager objects to the decision, special agent Jim Hardie hires young Tad Cameron, the son of a former employee who was once fired.

Guest Star James Drury. Tom Cook’s new bride, Tilda, used to be a riverboat girl years ago. Trouble begins to brew when Tom challenges Ed Ivers, a man from Tilda’s past, to a gunfight. Tilda tells Tom the truth, but it doesn’t help.

Guest Star George Kennedy. Pat Swarner is harassing Miss Kitty in the Long Branch Saloon. Matt Dillon hits Swarner and makes him leave. Swarner promises to get Kitty, but is later found dead. A drunk named Jud claims Matt did it.

Cheyenne meets gunslinger Matt Reardon, who rescues him from a fight. Reardon asks for Cheyenne’s help as he plans to aid the widow of a man he accidentally killed. However, the dead man’s son as other plans for Reardon.

Slim hunts horses for the ranch and finds a small white horse just perfect for Mike. The horse actually belongs to a young girl who later steals it back. This puts Slim into the middle of a war between squatters and cattlemen in the high country.

An English lady is murdered when she exits a stagecoach with her daughter in Morgan. Jim Hardie investigates after the daughter tells him that they were looking for a man named Aquith, who embezzled 20,000 pounds and framed her imprisoned father.

When the Tucson stagecoach is robbed again, Wells Fargo sends special agent Jim Hardie to investigate. He discovers an unusual clue involving special forty-four-forty notched bullets that the outlaws are using in the holdup.

Festus encourages a teenager named Dink to leave a group of abusive group of hiders who are taking matters into their own hands by cutting skins from dead range cattle. Dink changes his ways, but the leader has other plans.

Lou Paxon is waiting for his fiancé Linda Bell to arrive in Dodge City. Once there, Lou makes her get a job at the Long Branch Saloon. When another man arrives, Matt Dillon becomes suspicious as Paxon says he doesn’t know him.

The bank manager of the Dodge City Bank agrees to give a $20,000 loan for a poker hand. Matt Dillon believes the three players involved are con men and are working together to defraud the bank. The men flee and take Doc hostage.

A stagecoach arrives in Clay City with passengers driving it after the Wells Fargo employees were killed and cash stolen. They tell Hardie that Marty Saunders, known as Little Man, and Jeff Peters are responsible. Hardie must bring them to justice.

Wells Fargo sends special agent Jim Hardie to find and capture the infamous Dalton Gang after they strike several railroad express shipments. Knowing the family, Hardie visits Ma Dalton, but things don’t go as expected and he becomes their prisoner.
