The Kid enjoys a reunion with his long-lost brother, Jed. It seems as though Jed has found his place in the Army. However, he is actually posing as a cavalry member and is leading a gang to steal a gold shipment for the Confederacy.

The Kid finds a young Indian warrior at the scene of a massacre and takes him into custody to face justice in Sweetwater. The warrior, named Curly, denies any wrongdoing. The Kid and the riders try to determine if he is responsible for the crime.

Jess is mistakenly apprehended at gunpoint by bounty hunter Sam Jarrad. He believes that Jess has a $5000 price on his head and is determined to take him to Colorado, dead or alive, to collect the bounty. Slim goes after them to protect Jess.

Coming home from school, Mark stumbles upon a dead man's body. Lucas discovers he was stabbed and the only clue is a belt with the initials R.M. Lucas leaves Mark with Artemus Quarles, a cousin who is visiting. Quarles, however, is not who he seems.

A renegade Apache named Chaqua raids the McCain Ranch and kidnaps Mark. Lucas gathers a group of men to get Mark back, but Chaqua plans to make him an Apache warrior since he lost his own son. Lucas will stop at nothing to get his son back to safety.

The railroad plans to build a new line into North Fork or Center City. The town nominates Lucas to meet with the railroad company to get their business. A con-man arrives while an outlaw names Lucas as heir to his will.

Sam Elder unexpectedly dies after the bank forecloses on his ranch Lucas takes in his son, who is now orphaned. Lucas teaches the boy how to use a gun, but Lucas doesn't know the boy plans to get revenge on the banker.

When heavy rain prevents wagons from reaching the ranch with much needed supplies, Buck, Billy Blue, and Manolito attempt to get a mule train through. The Bandit, El Lobo, seizes the opportunity and attempts to trap the group in an isolated canyon.

A riverboat is located that was sunk years before with Civil War era government gold aboard, but there's no trace of the gold. A group of Confederate sympathizers, or Tom Barkley himself, may have caused the explosion which sank the ship.

Matt Dillon finds a young injured man named Cale, who was thrown from his horse. Matt decides to go for help across dangerous territory.

When a salty and cynical gunslinger rides into town in an attempt to make amends with his preacher father, he finds himself in the midst of a battle between ranchers, farmers, and ruthless land-grabbers.

When the new chief and another officer are murdered in their police car, Jesse Stone returns as Paradise police chief. Since the remaining staff on the force have quit, Jesse may be left to solve this crime entirely on his own.
