Former Green Beret, Justin Wise moves to the small seemingly peaceful town of Blue Ridge to be near his daughter, Maddie. Being close to his ex-wife Elli is an added plus since he hopes to win back her heart. If he expected his career move as the new sheriff of Blue Ridge to afford him a quieter life, he’s in for a rude awakening. He learns, soon enough there are more than a few unsavory characters in those beautiful mountains. But Wise is up to the task of keeping his community safe. He’s tough as nails and committed to seeing justice served. He’s an accomplished fighter and a sharpshooter—so odds are, the bad guys are going down!

Today, she owns Elli’s Diner, where folks gather for good food and good conversation—including her ex, and members of his police force. Elli is strong, confident, clever, and a well-respected leader in the community. Though divorced, she and Justin are united in their love for Maddie. Only time will tell if their love for each other will rekindle.

Sixteen-year-old Maddie Wise inherited the best traits of both her parents. She’s determined, and some might suggest, stubborn like her dad, Justin. And like her mother, Elli, she maintains an air of calmness. For some, the teen years are rowdy and rebellious, but Maddie is responsible and a good judge of character. However, there is one trait Maddie has displayed of late, that has her sheriff dad shaking in his boots—her newfound interest in … boys!
