Linda Evans
The beautiful star of The Big Valley and Dynasty never had biological children, but that didn’t stop her from being a wonderful mom to her two stepchildren, Sean Catherine Derek and Russell Derek.
With help from Linda, John Derek’s children from a previous relationship got to know him. According to Sean, Linda literally introduced them to him and was instrumental in helping the pair establish an ongoing relationship with their father.
Even after she and John divorced, Sean and Russell still knew they could count on Linda. When Russell was in a motorcycle accident and became a paraplegic, Linda didn’t think twice about going above and beyond to help Russell. Sean said, “I know it sounds corny, but … Linda always tries to do the right thing.”
Although she never had the babies she longed for, she has no regrets. For the past 10 years, Linda has lived on a property she bought in Rainier, Washington. It has 70 acres and her sister, nephew, and stepdaughter, Sean, live in houses on her land. She says she’s rich because she has family and friends living all around her.
