On June 1st, we heard the news of the sudden death of veteran character actress Ann B. Davis. We’re heartbroken at the loss of such a warm and sharp comic entertainer.

Though she played many impressive roles throughout her long and renowned career, we love her most for her role as Alice, the hilarious and, in her own way, insightful housekeeper on the hit show “The Brady Bunch.”

But her character was more than an employee to this large, blended family. She was a best friend, counselor, doctor, confidant, big sister, favorite aunt, the person you could always count on to get you through whatever mess you got yourself into. She was all that and more to millions of viewers who grew up with and still enjoy “The Brady Bunch.”

Rest in Peace, Ann B. Davis.
